I’m Mad As Hell because rather than deal with the root causes of illness, many doctors are only able to perform tests and pass out pills. I’m really mad as hell because our politicians ignore the 70% of Americans and 55% of their doctors calling for a single payer national health care plan! The time is now!

I have practiced optometry 31 years, the last 13 here in Stockton. I noticed that it is quite common for people to be completely out of the loop for health care. Optometrists may be the only provider they see, for example at the onset of presbyopia.
I often take a few minutes to discuss the link between health and maintaining healthy vision. And I’ll measure their blood pressure, especially if they have entered middle age. I educate those with (or risk factors ), for diabetes, which is epidemic now.
I’ll be learning more about MAHD, and single payer concepts.
